By: amascid The Caribbean is one of the most popular cruise and stay destinations in the world. The great weather and huge number of islands make Caribbean cruises so popular. The Caribbean is also home to a lot of cruise liners all of which are unique in their own way.

There are roughly 20 cruise lines that sail the Caribbean sea. Most people, particularly Americans choose the bigger cruise ships like the Royal Caribbean . Ships like the Royal Caribbean have a lot of amenities and provide a lot of onboard events for its customers. Unfortunately due to the size of the larger cruise ships, they can only dock at the larger ports. Smaller ships operated by the likes of Windstar are able to get into these smaller, more obscure ports that are usually quieter.

It's important to note that not every Caribbean island has a port but due to increasing demand and competition from cruise liners the number of ports are increasing giving more choice of locations.

If you can book you early, you will probably be able to find a really great cheap cruise deal. By booking 5 or 6 months in advance of the cruise date, is the best way to get a great deal. One of the perks that comes with early booking is, you will have your choice of the cabins available.

Sometimes this means you will be able to get an early bird special at up to 60% off the regular price! Of course, it is not always possible to book that far in advance, but if you are flexible enough to book at least ninty days in advance, you will still be able to get a good discount.

Waiting till the last minute, pays off sometimes because cruise lines don't want to have any empty cabins, so they are willing to lower their prices in order to fill those cabins. Be aware though, these cheap cruise deals can be hard to find, and you will probably have be flexable in your schedule. Finding an experienced travel agent online can be very helpful to search out these gems, as many of these agents do this exclusively. If you are willing to have different destinations in mind, because your first choice might not be available, will be a great advantage to getting a great cheap cruise deal.

Maybe you would be willing to book a cruise in the off seaon, the early spring and winter months. The discounted rates for the off season can be up to 40% to 50% off the regular prices.

There is possibly no better vacation available! You have so many activities on board it's almost impossible to decide where to start while you're out on the open water . Also the food is great and never ending, plus you are traveling to some of the most beautiful places in the world.
