Las Vegas, Nev., was known for little more than
tumbleweeds before the Stardust Resort and Casino was
established at the north end of what is now the Strip.
Today, guests arriving by air fly into McCarran
International Airport, five miles from the hotel.
Conveniently situated, this venerable resort is within
one mile of the Fashion Show Mall and Las Vegas
Convention Center.
Around-the-clock gaming action that includes craps, roulette,
pai gow, baccarat, blackjack race and sports book, awaits
guests in the 85,000-square-foot casino. Big bands jam in the
Stardust Ballroom and award-winning entertainers perform
nightly at this exciting resort. The tropical-garden pool
complex includes two seasonal outdoor pools, one free form and
the other rectangular to accommodate lap swimmers. An imposing
sandstone structure flanked by palm groves rises between the
pools and shades an expansive 24-hour spa tub. The resort
offers a shopping promenade, limited-hour fitness center and a
limited- hour business center that has wireless Internet
access, office supplies, fax, photocopying and printing
services. Meeting rooms and ballrooms accommodate groups
between 50 and 3,500 people. Nine dining options include the
turn-of-the-century ambience of William B's Steak House that
showcases sepia-toned photographs and specializes in steak,
chops and seafood dishes. Sushi King offers Japanese cuisine
and the 24-hour Island Paradise Café serves snacks or
full-course meals.
This hotel houses 1,552 guestrooms and suites in two- and
nine-story wings, and a 32-story tower. Guestrooms are
decorated in warm gold tones with elegant dark wood armoires
and dining tables. Some floors have wireless Internet access.
